Head Coach Women’s Hockey

Merrimack College is seeking a head women’s ice hockey coach to build a new NCAA Division I program.  The head coach will oversee the immediate launch of a women’s club team and, in conjunction with the athletic department, build a pathway to elevating the team to varsity status and competing as an NCAA Division I team in the Hockey East Association.  The ideal candidate will have experience coaching and/or playing women’s ice hockey at the Division I level.  The head coach will be responsible for all aspects of developing and overseeing the women’s ice hockey program, including recruiting, hiring and managing assistant coaching staff, operating budgets, scheduling and other day-to-day oversight of the program.

Qualifications:  Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, minimum of three years of collegiate coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level.  Leadership, innovative spirit and dynamic ability to meet the needs of student-athletes essential.  Knowledge and commitment to NCAA rules, desire to serve the Merrimack College community and commitment to excellence required.
