Meet the Staff
Resident Advisors (RAs)
RAs are students who have a strong interest in helping other students and would like to assist you in having a successful year at Merrimack. These upper-class students will make every effort to work with you and your community to establish guidelines and living agreements that are comfortable for everyone. Through residential programming, the Resident Advisors work as educators to enhance your college experience. Another role of the RA is to assist communities in maintaining community standards and implementing College policy. They serve a vital role in helping to insure that students can sleep, study, and live in a respectful environment.
The Faculty-in-Residence program is a collaboration that bridges the academic and residential realms of academic life at Merrimack College by integrating faculty into the residential community. Through the program, students are able to interact with faculty outside the classroom in a variety of programs and activities that occur within the residence halls. Dr. Jimmy Franco from the Chemistry department is the current as the faculty-in-residence.
Residence Hall Chaplains
Each residence hall is paired with a Chaplain who holds office hours in the buildings, attend RA staff meetings and programs. RAs collaborate with the Chaplains to provide spiritual programs to discuss faith and spirituality within the residence hall environment. The Chaplains also serve as a resource to students who need support, are facing a personal problem, or want to talk about their faith and spirituality.
