Visual and Performing Arts Department Performance Goals

Upon completion of a Visual and Performing Arts major, a student should

  • be able to critically analyze and evaluate scholarly materials and/or works of visual and performance art;
  • have the ability to work cooperatively, effectively and creatively with peers;
  • have cultivated the ability to learn from his or her own intellectual and creative experiences; and
  • have acquired the ability to effectively write and speak.

These learning goals represent for the Department of Visual and Performing Arts the “performance goals or targets” appropriate to our mission as educators in and of the visual and performing arts.
