After Hours/Off-campus Services

For medical treatment when Hamel Health is closed, students may use off-campus services. Students should bring their health insurance card. Each location listed is hyperlinked to a website for full details of the process of care and services provided.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Care Line

Nurse Advice Line 

For students enrolled in any Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts plan, including the Merrimack College Student Health Insurance, the Blue Care Line is a free service that can be used when the health center is closed.

When you call, you will speak with a nurse who will help you decide what to do next.

What They Provide:  Advice for the treatment of

  • Fever
  • Dizziness
  • Cuts or lacerations
  • General physical discomfort
