Assistant/Associate Professor in Political Science
Merrimack College invites applications for a tenure-track professorship in Political Science beginning in fall 2014, either at the Assistant or Associate level. The applicant will play a leading role in the administration of a newly created interdisciplinary International Studies major. Required expertise includes ability to teach courses in international relations, contemporary global issues and to develop the major’s capstone. A regional specialization and ability to teach a course in the politics of the Middle East and/or Africa is highly desired. Candidates are also encouraged to teach courses in their area of expertise. A demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service is essential.
Teaching load is three, four-credit courses per academic semester. Applications are welcomed from scholars of International Relations, Comparative Politics or related fields. Ph.D. is required at time of appointment. This position is subject to funding approval.
