The Girard School of Business and the O’Brien Center for Student Success work together to provide professional development programs and resources to prepare students for success in their career search.

The Girard School of Business offers additional resources to support the unique needs of business school students.  These programs and services are designed to enrich students’ academic experiences and prepare them to apply what they’re learning in the classroom to the business world.  Take advantage of these programs and resources to develop the tools and skills necessary to prepare yourself for a successful career search.     

Internship Coordinator

Diane Riemer is a valuable resource for Girard School of Business students.  Located in O’Reilly Hall, Diane extends the services offered by the OBrien Center for student success.  She is available to meet with students for one-on-one advising, resume review, and tips for building your professional portfolio.  With more than 8 years of experience coaching business undergraduates and MBA candidates on their internship and job search and professional experience in both corporate and non-profit settings, she partners with students to ensure they are ready for the job market and able to connect with the right employers.   To set up an appointment with Diane, email her at riemerd@merrimack.edu

Through a series of networking lunches, the Girard School of Business offers students opportunities to connect on-campus with alumni and local professionals to get a better sense of potential career paths and opportunities in a given field. 

Internships

Internships provide students with flexible and varied ways to gain valuable on-the-job experience related to career interests. Internships can be paid or unpaid, take place during summers, school semesters or vacation breaks, and cover a range of time commitments.
