Dean’s List Procedure
Each semester, many Merrimack College undergraduate students earn the right to be named to the dean’s list by earning a minimum 3.25 GPA based on a 4.0 GPA grading system. Students must complete at least 12 credit hours in a given semester, not on a pass/fail basis, to be eligible.
After final grades are completed and submitted, including the incomplete grades, the registrar’s office compiles a list of all students who have achieved the status of dean’s list. Students are notified of this achievement with a letter from their respective school deans.
Additionally, the Office of Communications sends a press release for each student to their hometown newspaper, announcing this achievement. Dean’s list students are also sent a link of the press release to their Merrimack email address that can be shared with parents and friends.
Fall dean’s list is generally published the following February. Spring dean’s list is published in July.
