The field of electrical engineering covers a wide range of applications, ranging from the transmissions of electric power to the design of computer microprocessors to cellular phone and antenna design, among many others. The curriculum is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
To accommodate the needs of students who are employed full-time in local industry, the EEN Department has made its BSEE program available to these students by scheduling lectures with laboratories in the evenings. Courses supporting these programs, in English composition, religion and philosophy, the humanities, the social sciences, mathematics, chemistry, and physics may be taken through the Office of Professional Studies during evening hours.
In addition to satisfying the institutional and distribution requirements, students who seek a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree must further have completed the following major and cognate courses or their equivalents.
