Virginia Woolf said that a writer needs a room to call one’s own. At Merrimack, we have a house.
The Writers House at Merrimack is the only one of its kind in New England, and as a multidisciplinary initiative, enlivens the curriculum of the college’s four schools.
At the Writers House, students are inspired by award-winning fiction writers, journalists, poets, scholars, filmmakers, engineers, artists and more. Students create and showcase their own writing and publications and participate in literary projects that connect them with the wider community.
We’re a place for the entire academic community to gather — to talk, listen, write, read, grapple … and dream.
