Congratulations graduates, parents and families.  Commencement will arrive quickly, and this page is intended to provide you with information you will need as you make preparations to attend Merrimack College’s 2015 Graduate Commencement.  Please bookmark this page so that you may refer to it in the coming weeks.

Diplomas

Diplomas have been ordered.  If you do not plan to attend graduation, your diploma will be available in the Office of the Registrar after graduation.

Students who are participating in commencement but have not completed their coursework will receive their diploma following completion of their coursework and according to the Registrar’s distribution schedule.

  

Final Grade Report

You may view your grades on MyMack as soon as they are available.

  

Caps & Gowns

Caps & gowns will be distributed on Wednesday, April 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Murray Lounge, Sakowich Campus Center.

  

Ticket Information

Graduate admission tickets will be distributed on Wednesday, April 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Murray Lounge, Sakowich Campus Center.

Each graduate will receive six (6) commencement tickets.  All graduates must present a valid photo ID and sign for their tickets. Graduates may not pick up tickets for other students, and tickets will not be mailed. 

NOTE: For those who cannot make it to campus on May 1, caps/gowns/tickets will be available for a later pick up in the Graduate Admissions Office.

  

Attendance Policy/Safety Regulations

Individuals seeking admittance to the Merrimack Athletics Complex will be required to present a commencement admission ticket.  No exceptions will be made to this policy. Graduates should distribute tickets to their guests before arriving on campus.

Merrimack College has implemented several policies designed to ensure the continued safety of our community. Guests will be permitted to bring small cameras, small purses or other small bags into the venue. Backpacks and other large bags will not be permitted into the arena. Guests are urged to arrive early and to limit the items they bring with them. The college reserves the right to search any bag or parcel brought into the facility.

We ask for your cooperation in making this occasion a memorable one, and request that you do not bring alcohol (including champagne), beach balls, air horns, balloons, etc. to the ceremony. Inappropriate items will be confiscated at the door. 

Fire codes prohibit guests from standing in the aisles in the Merrimack Athletics Complex.  Family photographers are asked to stay behind stanchions.  Please remember to be considerate of those seated behind you while you are taking your photos. 

Guest admittance to the Merrimack Athletics Complex will begin at 5:00 p.m.

The commencement ceremony is expected to last until approximately 8:00 p.m.

  

Professional Photographer

A professional photographer will take pictures of each student receiving his/her diploma.  You will be contacted with details. Questions, please contact the Office of Conference and Events 978-837-5389.

  

Parking

Parking is limited. The Merrimack College Police Department will be on campus throughout the weekend to direct you and your guests to appropriate parking areas.

  

Handicap Parking/Other Accommodations

Please contact Merrimack College Police Department for information on how to obtain a handicap area parking pass for the commencement ceremony at 978-837-5152. Those guests who are parking in the handicap parking area should plan to arrive before 5:30 p.m. to use the campus entrance closest to the parking lot. After 6:00 p.m., all other guests must enter campus through the main entrance on Elm Street.
