Tolle Lege Reception Honors Authors

Tolle Lege, an annual event which recognizes the works published within the past year by Merrimack College faculty, staff, students, and alumni, will be held on February 4, 2014 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in McQuade Library, 1st Floor Conference Room. The Tolle Lege reception is sponsored by McQuade Library and the Center for Augustinian Study and Legacy. The Merrimack College community and guests are invited to attend.

The 2014 Tolle Lege is honoring twenty-five faculty, four staff members, five alumni, and one current student. The reception speakers, who are among those being recognized for their work include: alumni Courtney Gray ’13 and Abigail Johnson ’12; current student Michele Beausoleil ’14; Heather Maietta, Associate V.P., Corporate and Career Engagement; Laura Pruett, Assistant Professor, Visual and Performing Arts Department; Ana Silva, Assistant Professor, Accounting and Finance Department; and Marc Velotzos, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department. The citations, papers, chapters, articles and books that were published between September 1, 2012 and august 31, 2013 will be signed and added to the Tolle Lege Collection, which was launched in 2003, and is housed in McQuade Library.

Merrimack College supports research and publications that will advance knowledge and education within the College community and recognizes all those being honored for their hard work and dedication to academic excellence.

Meaning “take up and read,” the words Tolle Lege are imprinted on the Merrimack College seal. These words were connected to St. Augustine and his conversion.
