Fall Career Expo

The O'Brien Center for Student Success is presenting the first-ever Fall Career Expo at the Sakowich Campus Center's MPR Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m.

About 65 firms representing a cross section of industries have committed to attend the fair, said Jay Caporale, vice president for corporate and foundation engagement.

“Accounting, finance and banking are heavily represented due to their recruiting season, however we also have government, engineering, technology, education, human services, insurance, consulting, and media/communication industries that will be represented,” said Student Success Manager Samantha Medina.

Firms taking part include the accounting firms Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers; the consumer products and health care firm Philips; and the communications and media firm NESN, which airs Red Sox games, said Stephen Maser, the assistant director of employer relations.

The job fair is open to all Merrimack College students. All the firms taking part have full-time jobs, internships and coops available and posted on Advantage.

Even if students aren’t looking for a job, internship or coop yet, they are encouraged to attend so they prepare for the Spring Career Fair scheduled for March, Medina said.
