New Interfaith Alliance Club packs meals for kids
Students in our new Interfaith Alliance traveled to Harvard University to participate in a service project organized by the Boston Interfaith Campus Coalition, Harvard’s Values in Action and Kids Care, where they helped package 40,000 meals for food-insecure children in Massachusetts in time for Thanksgiving.
Led by graduate fellows Yaniv Havusha and Rebecca Teixeira, as well as faculty adviser Prof. Celene Lizzio, students Will Griffin, Maria Haseeb, Iqra Iftikhar and Nina Levison, worked alongside volunteers from campuses all around Boston. Kids Care reports that the Harvard-BICC event was the 6th largest meal packing event in the Northeast.
Our students networked with other interfaith clubs and went for pizza in Harvard Square to make plans for future programs and projects.
