Recently, the Department of Health Sciences presented a lecture by Dr. Ann McKee,one of the leading authorities in the nation in the area of head injuries, concussions, and brain research. The title of the seminar was: From Concussions to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE): What is the Evidence?
Dr. McKee presented an engaging and enlightening discussion on her research to about 100 attendees from Merrimack College and the outside community.
Dr. McKee is the director of Neuropathology at New England Veterans Health Care System and Professor of Neurology and Pathology at Boston University School of Medicine. She is also director of Brain Banks and co-director of the Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy.
