Philip M. Arcidi ‘81
Philip M. Arcidi serves as the Treasurer and is a founding principal of the multifaceted conglomerate that comprises the Whittier Health Network. Whittier is composed of six resourcefully integrated divisions: rehabilitation and psychiatric hospitals; nursing homes; assisted living; outpatient services; home health; and a long term care pharmacy. Whittier enjoys a market-leading ability to provide the highest caliber of comprehensive healthcare services to thousands of consumers on a daily basis while successfully meeting the individual needs of each patient with dignity, respect and compassion. The network presently employs in excess of three thousand healthcare professionals and providers throughout Massachusetts and New York.
Under Philip’s leadership Whittier has grown—and continues to grow—in a financially sound and efficient manner. In addition, in 1993 Philip guided the development and expansion of Arlington Trust Financial Services, a mortgage banking company and HUD-approved lender which has originated and processed more than one hundred million dollars in loans to date.
Philip graduated from Merrimack College in 1981, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He is an active member of the American Joint Care Foundation and sits on the board of the Whittier Health Network Charitable Foundation, a strong supporter of, among other groups, Northeast Passage, the mission of which promotes providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy barrier-free recreational and sports activities. Philip’s son, Alfred, is a member of Merrimack’s class of 2015.
