Dean Search: School of Liberal Arts
To continue the institution’s momentum, Merrimack College seeks an innovative academic leader who will be able to harness the excitement of the campus and academic mission of the School of Liberal Arts as it aims to achieve the Agenda for Distinction, including developing and strengthening signature academic programs while invigorating traditional academics; increasing hands-on and experiential learning and student-faculty collaborations; encouraging and supporting curriculum development as well as faculty teaching and scholarship; developing facilities that support and enhance the academic enterprise; and expanding external partnerships and fundraising.
We are pleased to update you and ask you to be involved with the next phase of the search for the Dean, School of Liberal Arts. As you may know, we received many applications and conducted screening interviews with the top candidates. From that group we have invited three candidates to campus. They are as follows:
Dr. Manuel Avalos, Ph.D., University of North Carolina Wilmington
Dr. Kathleen A. Tiemann, Ph.D., University of North Dakota
Please refer to their curriculum vitae and campus-visit schedules to the right for more information. In addition, please be sure to take a few minutes to complete the candidate evaluation form after participating in one of the sessions.
Our heartfelt appreciation to everyone for their involvement and input with this important search process.
