Computer Standards

(also known as: Apple, Computers, MacBook, iMac, Thinkpad, Thinkcentre, Laptop, Desktop)

Eligible: Faculty, Staff, Computer Labs and Administrators
Availability: 24 Hours, Daily
Support:  Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
                 Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

It is recommended that all Merrimack College-owned computers be on a 4-year replacement cycle (end of warranty). The respective department will assume the cost of the new computer. All college-owned computers within the 4 year cycle are ITS supported. Any non college-owned computers are given “best effort” not to negate warranty. All college-owned computers and electronics are asset tagged to maintain inventory. For a list of IT-supported computers and accessories see Apple and Lenovo.

Restrictions: Any faculty or employee computers purchased outside of the ITS department and any computers kept after their scheduled replacement date are not supported.
