Begin to coordinate Opening Academic Convocation
August 1 VPAA sends invitation out to all new full-time faculty, President, Deans, President of Faculty Senate, and President of AAUP regarding New Faculty Orientation in August.
August 15 VPAA sends reminder email to faculty eligible to take Sabbatical (AY 2014-2015 ) reminding them to inform Chair, Dean and VPAA by September 15.
September 1 Absolute Deadline for new evidence to be accepted by ART (Tenure)**
September 3 Classes begin/Opening Academic Convocation.
September 9 Last day for adding and dropping courses Last day for converting to or from Audit
September 12 Spring 2014 master schedules, with any revisions due from departments to Deans.
September 13 Last day for conversion of summer “N” grades
September 15 Faculty notify Chairperson (copied to Dean and VPAA) of intent to apply for 2014-2015 Sabbatical.**
September 26 Spring 2014 master course schedules, with any revisions, due from deans to registrar for data entry and room assignments.
October 1 VPAA informs candidates who are eligible for tenure.**
October 1 Candidate notifies VPAA, Deans and Chair of intent to apply for promotion. (Full)**
October 1 Student Fulbright applications and recommendations due to Fulbright Program Advisor
October 10 Spring 2014 master schedule due back in deans’ for final accuracy check
October 10 Department declaration of related departments sent to Dean**
October 14 COLUMBUS DAY (college closed, no classes)
October 15 Classes meet on a Monday schedule.
October 15 Department Committee communicates recommendation letter to faculty member requesting sabbatical(copied to Dean and VPAA).**
October 15 Deans convene area selection Committee for promotion cases. VPAA sends memo to ART and President of candidates who intend to apply for promotion.**

October 22 Mid-term grades are due by 5 pm.
October 25 Final Spring 2014 master schedule due back in deans’ offices for final review.
October 28 Final Spring 2014 master course schedule due back from deans to registrar by 9:00 am for printing.
October 30-31 Senior advisement for registration for spring 2014 semester.
October 31 Junior advisement for registration for spring 2014 semester.
November 1 Senior advisement for registration for spring 2014 semester.
November 1 Deans send VPAA 2014-2015 Sabbatical recommendations.**

November 4-5 Senior registration for spring 2014 semester.
November 5 2nd year faculty evaluations due in Dean’s office.**

December 1 Residence halls open at 10 am – meal plan begins at dinner.
December 1 Deans Submit 2nd Year probationary faculty evaluations to VPAA**
December 1 Faculty Development Grant Progress Report Deadline (optional)**

December 2 College reopens; classes resume.
