  • Nine Merrimack College Department of Police Services officers awarded for Heroic Actions.
  • On May 5, 2011, Merrimack College Department of Police Services was the 37th police department and the 5th campus police department in Massachusetts to receive state accreditation from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC).

    Chief Ron Guilmette salutes his staff prior to the 2012 Commencement ceremonies.  Chief Guilmette retired in on June 30 and has been replaced by Chief Michael DelGreco, who has served the Merrimack College Police Services Department since 1999.

    Instructors from the Massachusetts Police Training Council were on campus last week training new K-9 officers from around the state. Although Merrimack does not employ K-9’s, the College hosts several training dates a year.
  • Merrimack College Department of Police Services has successfully passed a two day, stringent assessment of our systems and functions with a view to achieving Certification with the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission. The assessment team will recommend we recieve Certification in May of 2010.We will be one of only three college Police Departments in Massachusetts to attain this level of professionalism, and one of only thirteen Police Departments in the Commonwealth to do so.
