As the Director of Strategy at Merrimack College, Amy has dedicated the past four years to building the new School of Education under the guidance of Founding Dean, Dan Butin, Ph.D. with a focus on establishing and sustaining meaningful ties to the Merrimack Valley’s PreK-12 school systems and community. She serves as the key integration point for communications, marketing, development, capacity building and the strategic planning needs of the School of Education, shaping both short- and long-term strategic directions and developing & implementing signature initiatives.
Sarofian-Moeller is also a Fellowship Supervisor for the graduate program at the College fostering a vision to prepare and support students to be thoughtful, passionate, and competent individuals who go on to form meaningful leaderships and impacts within higher education and non-profit organizations.
As a doctoral student in the Higher Education Administration program at University of Massachusetts, Boston (Cohort 2013), Sarofian-Moeller is exploring the topics of space & place (both physical and virtual), social constructs within PreK-20 learning communities, and pathways & pipelines from our urban communities to higher education. Her focus is currently on the Gateway Cities of the Merrimack Valley.
Sarofian-Moeller holds two Massachusetts teaching licenses, sits on the Board of Directors for Design Associates, Inc., and volunteers for the North Andover Public School system.
