Dr. Frasier’s education is complemented by a wide range of practical experiences in the field of education. His career began as a high school mathematics teacher in the public schools where he taught Algebra through Calculus to students of varying academic levels.  He then transitioned to the college level where he prepares new K-12 teachers for the classroom by instructing undergraduate and graduate level courses, supervising student teachers, and guiding prospective teachers through the licensure process.

In addition to teacher preparation, Dr. Frasier is also keenly interested in educational research.  His own research focuses on teachers’ conceptions of and practices with proof and reasoning in mathematics education.  His scholarly interests include: Learning Theory, Epistemology, and the History of Mathematics.
