Adjunct Professor of Economics
Professor Darshana Udayanganie received an M.A. degree in Economics, as well as her doctorate in Economics from the University of New Hampshire. She also holds an M.S. in Resource Economics and Policy from the University of Maine and a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Currently she teaches Introduction to Economics at Merrimack College.
Dr. Udayanganie’s research interests are in Applied Microeconomics, Public Policy, Agricultural and Environmental Economics and Health Economics. Her expertise is in the fields of environmental economics and public economics, where she has focused primarily on evaluating the effectiveness of a preferential property tax relief program in land conservation.
