About Me:

Greetings!

I am the department’s applied social & organizational psychologist. I got my formal training in social psychology at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. Social psychologists study how people think about and interact in social situations. While a graduate student at UMass, I specialized in the area of attitude formation and change. Gradually my interests in applied, real world problems came to the forefront for me. So, after graduate school, I worked for several years in a corporate environment. I enhanced my expertise in organizational psychology by developing and validating employee selection techniques, constructing and analyzing employee attitude surveys, developing and teaching training programs for managers, etc. My current interests center on the nexus of media, culture and identity.
