M.A. Modern Languages (French), Oxford University

A life-long Francophile, on completion of her studies in 1989 Debbie left her native England, to work for a year at a medical supplies company, Smith & Nephew, as English teacher in their French subsidiary near Le Mans, north-west France. She met her (French!) husband there, and subsequently stayed another 18 years! In 1993, after a period working as Head of a Language Training Center in Toulouse, she set up as a freelance English-language teacher and French - English translator, working for companies and for private individuals, aswell as the French Ministry of Defense.

Debbie moved to the USA with her family in November 2007, following her husband

Debbie has been Adjunct Professor in French at Merrimack College since August 2008, and loves the students here! She also teaches evening classes in French for adults at Andover High School, with the Andover District Community Services.
