Merrimack College has prepared me for my career as an Athletic Trainer in a lot of ways. A main way I felt prepared was by teaching me how to make a decision and be confident in it. Working as the Certified Athletic Trainer at a small high school, I was on my own to make the return to play decision and to determine whether or not the student-athlete needed to be seen by a physician. Merrimack helped me feel confident to make these decisions through clinical experience and course work. Overall I would say that Merrimack College has shaped me into the Athletic Trainer that I am and I would not change that one bit.
