Attendance Policy/Safety Regulations

Individuals seeking admittance to the Merrimack Athletics Complex will be required to present a Commencement Admission Ticket.  No exceptions will be made to this policy. Please distribute tickets to all attendees in your group before arriving on campus.

Merrimack College has implemented several policies designed to ensure the continued safety of our community. Guests will be permitted to bring small cameras, small purses or other small bags into the venue. Backpacks and other large bags will not be permitted into the arena. Guests are urged to arrive early and to limit the items they bring with them. The college reserves the right to search any bag or parcel brought into the facility.

We ask for your cooperation in making this occasion a memorable one, and request that you do not bring alcohol (including champagne), beach balls, air horns, balloons, etc. to the ceremony. Inappropriate items will be confiscated at the door.

Fire codes prohibit guests from standing in the aisles in the Lawler Arena.  Family photographers are asked to stay behind stanchions.  Please remember to be considerate of those seated behind you while you are taking your photos.

Guest admittance to the Merrimack Athletics Complex will begin at 8:00 a.m. All guests should be seated by 10:00 a.m. for the procession into the arena.

Seating for People with Disabilities/Other Accommodations

If you have a guest who requires a wheelchair or other physical accommodation, we have reserved a section in the Lawler Arena to accommodate that guest plus one companion. These will come out of your predetermined ticket total.

Please email commencementoffice@merrimack.edu to assist us in planning the needs of guests with disabilities.

Some wheelchairs can be accommodated in the Rogers Center live-streaming venue as well.

If the service of a sign language interpreter is needed, please contact commencementoffice@merrimack.edu
