Hip Hop Culture, Race, and the Mythologies of a Post-Racial America

In this presentation, Dr. Finnie D. Coleman will discuss the role race has played and continues to play in the genesis of Hip Hop culture while illuminating various misconceptions about Hip Hop culture and the role that the culture plays in both constructing and destroying “racial barriers” in the United States.
