Anthony Fortuna
Exercise Science Senior
A current senior at Merrimack College, Anthony is well prepared for his future in exercise science. He is currently working as a trainer at F45 North Andover, an intern performance coach at University of Massachusetts – Lowell, and acts as an exercise physiology peer mentor. His time at Merrimack has aided Anthony in being ready to approach all these positions with full knowledge and a full heart. Ambitious and dedicated, Fortuna is passionate about exercise science and is ready to help his community however he can.
“I had the opportunity to converse with many different professors at Merrimack before coming here who helped me to understand the high expectations that are set, as well as the proper care and guidance they provide their students with. During my time here, I can say that I have experienced that care and guidance with the challenging course material that they provide to take education to the next level of understanding. I was also informed about the many connections that are within this school, which have led me to several different opportunities within my preferred field of strength and conditioning.”
“I chose Merrimack because of the level of education and opportunities that were available within the Exercise Science program.”
Along the way, Anthony has learned many life lessons during his time at Merrimack. Advice he would offer to any incoming Merrimack student is that “life can be very serious at times, however, it is much more enjoyable when humor is involved. Many of the classes that I have taken reflect this by contributing a certain level of humor to the seriousness of learning.”
