Transfer Student Finds Success With Merrimack
Hannah graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 2022, with a major in mathematics and a minor in psychology. Before Merrimack, she attended a larger university, but wanted to experience a more individualized college career. After transferring to Merrimack, Hannah was able to experience the unwavering support and attention our faculty and staff offer to our students. “The school seemed very supportive which was important to me since my previous university left me feeling like the I was on my own.”
It was Hannah’s faculty member’s guidance that convinced her that she could attend graduate school. “I don’t think I would have felt like I had what it takes to go to grad school if not for the math department at Merrimack. They helped me realize how much I enjoy math and helped me find my passion. They inspired me to pursue a career in academia.” During her time at Merrimack, Hannah interned with the Navy as a data analyst.
“I transferred to Merrimack from another university, and right away, I could tell that Merrimack would fit my needs better due to its more individualized classes and assistance from faculty members.”
“The math department was always super supportive. I felt like I could talk to any of my professors whether I needed help with a concept from class or advice as I was preparing to apply to graduate school. Everyone was so willing to help – it really made a difference.” Hannah was an active member of the Merrimack College community, participating in both relay for life and the mathematics club.
