Biology Major Has Sight Set On Master's Degree
Nazek is a current biology major at Merrimack College who plans on graduating in three years instead of the traditional four. “I am planning on completing my bachelor of science degree a year early, allowing me to complete the degree in three years total and graduate in Spring 2024, following my completion of high school degree in three years. This accelerated graduation will allow me to embark on my future endeavors in the vast field of biology sooner.” Nazek has a passion for life science and looks forward to joining the professional field as soon as she can.

“The biology program at Merrimack as a whole includes many aspects that prepare a student very well for any biological career they partake in. As for myself, the different courses that are part of the program, including natural medicine, genetics, ecology, immunology, microbiology, biology internship course, general chemistry, organic chemistry, general physics and many more provide a well rounded education in the field. The majority of these courses have a laboratory component to them which allows for a collaborative experience amongst peers as well. The biology internship course, for example, taught me a multitude of techniques that are used in the laboratory daily by biologists and with this background knowledge that can be implemented in my future endeavors. I am indubitably prepared for an outstanding career in biology.”
