The bedrock of Merrimack College’s unprecedented success — innovation, growth, service and athletic excellence — will now frame the College’s most ambitious campaign to date.
Together We Rise, Merrimack’s campaign to raise $100 million over the next five years, will bring to life the goals laid out in the College’s strategic plan, the Agenda for the Future, and strongly position Merrimack among the nation’s leading Catholic research universities.
“We have set a bright future for Merrimack College and are poised for greater success,” said President Christopher E. Hopey, Ph.D. “Together We Rise will be a truly community-wide effort that will include generations of students, alumni, staff, trustees and friends of the College. It will bolster our continued upward trajectory.”
The campaign officially launched at a kick-off event on Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Collegiate Church of Christ the Teacher, where it was announced that more than $59 million has been raised to date.
Funds raised through the campaign will support many critical goals and initiatives across the College. Together We Rise will not only strengthen Merrimack’s ability to adapt and evolve in an ever-changing world, but also ensure students receive an educational and spiritual experience that will make them valued and respected contributors in their community.
Among the key initiatives Together We Rise will support include making higher education more affordable and accessible, building research infrastructure, faculty recruitment, expanding external partnerships, enhancing community service and growing internship and co-op opportunities. It will give Merrimack College the resources and support to further build on its excellence in education, student experience and service.
