My early research involved the use of high pressure — thousands or even tens of thousands of atmospheres — to investigate superconductors and novel magnetic materials. My current interests include the interpretation of quantum mechanics and other issues at the intersection of science and philosophy.
The Jail Education Project in July will award its first associate’s degree, and has helped nine formerly incarcerated students transition to Merrimack’s Bachelor’s Degree Completion Program.
