Ed Martin joined the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs in July of 2023. Ed is a Merrimack alumnus (‘12) receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine before completing his Master’s degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. Ed has over 10 years of experience and has served in research administration and compliance roles at the Tufts University USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging as well as the Mass General Brigham Cancer Center Clinical Trials Protocol Office. As the Director of Research Protection & Compliance at Merrimack College, Ed provides oversight and guidance as it relates to the ethical conduct of research and protection of data by the Merrimack College Community. He also serves as the Administrator for Merrimack College’s Institutional Review Board and Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) platform.
Lilia Hessasta ’25, who will serve as assistant stage manager for Merrimack College's upcoming production of “The Drowsy Chaperone," was awarded Outstanding Stage Management Intern at this year’s Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.
