As an experienced clinician, I prioritize the client’s physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs to render appropriate treatment by providing unconditional positive regard, active listening and a compassionate attitude. Clients are active participants in their journey to recovery and stability by engaging in the therapeutic process and remaining consistent with striving for achievement of goals set to improve level of functioning and/or decrease symptomatology.
Among the disorders I treat are depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief, PTSD, personality disorders, schizophrenia and substance use disorders. Among the approaches utilized for the therapeutic process, I focus on person-centered approach, talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and family supportive therapy.
I am a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Social Worker Associate. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Spanish from Merrimack College. I also have a Master’s of Education in Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Trauma from Cambridge College. I have experience in a variety of settings, including inpatient, partial hospital, intensive outpatient and outpatient mental health services.
