Sergeant, Merrimack College Police Department
Sergeant Matthew Norcross joined the Merrimack College Police Department in 2017 and is currently the evening supervisor. He retired from the Salem, NH Police Department after serving twenty-three years as a police officer. He has been dedicated to school safety and community engagement, having been a school resource officer and community affairs officer for over twelve years.
He joined the Massachusetts Juvenile Police Officers Association in 2006 to join their Annual Regional School Safety Conference planning committee. He helped bring speakers to this conference like Frank DeAngelis – Columbine High School Principal, Kristina Anderson – Virginia Tech survivor and Michelle Gay – mother of Sandy Hook lost soul Josephine Grace. Sergeant Norcross is a contributor to Michelle Gay’s school safety advocacy organization “Safe and Sound Schools.”
As senior vice president and chief financial officer, Harreys will oversee all aspects of the College’s financial management and lead an entrepreneurial environment for revenue growth.
