Learning Outside the Classroom
Get hands-on learning outside of Merrimack with internships, study abroad opportunities and our international studies honor society.
Study Abroad or in Washington, D.C.
You’ll have many opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, gaining invaluable experience and building your resume while studying abroad or in Washington D.C.
International Studies & Public Service Internships
Participating in an internship during your undergraduate years provides an invaluable hands-on learning experience. Students can do internships for credit during the summer or the academic year.
International Studies Honor Society
If you are a junior or senior who has completed six courses (or at least 21 credits) in the International Studies Program, and attained at least a 3.3 GPA overall and a 3.4 GPA in the major or minor, we invite you to apply for admission to the Merrimack Chapter of Sigma Iota Rho, the national honor society of International Studies.
The honor society offers students with diverse interests the chance to get involved with the international studies, and provides opportunities to network and be active in the community on campus and beyond. Email the Director of International Studies to learn more.
