Andrew Maylor Named Vice President, Chief Business Officer at Merrimack College

Merrimack College has announced the appointment of Andrew Maylor, current Comptroller of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and former Town Manager of North Andover, as Vice President and Chief Business Officer at the College effective February 24, 2020.

Maylor will bring his vast experience in finance, business operations, planning and strong ability to collaborate to the leadership of the growing College. As Vice President and Chief Business Officer he will report to Dr. Jeffrey Doggett, the College’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Operations Officer.

President Christopher E. Hopey noted that,

“Higher education today is a highly competitive business. The College and our broader community depend on having stable leadership at Merrimack that will steward the institution – its mission, its operations, and this outstanding community of students, faculty, staff and alumni. Andrew Maylor is a great addition to the College leadership and we look forward to working with him as we implement our next strategic plan.”

Dr. Doggett called Maylor the ideal person to join the leadership of the College and advance Merrimack into the next stage of growth. He said,

“Merrimack College has become a town in and of itself, as well as an important member of our host communities of North Andover and Andover. To have Andrew’s background and experience join the leadership team will be invaluable as the College continues to grow and meet the needs of our diverse community.”

Mr. Maylor noted that,

“As a parent of two Merrimack alums, and as a current adjunct faculty member myself, I have seen firsthand what the leadership has successfully done to grow the school and build on its prestige. As Town Manager, I have seen from a different vantage point what the growth of the College has meant, and been impressed with the level of sophistication and strategic thinking the leadership brings to the table. I am excited to join the Merrimack team at this moment in the College’s history.”
